AC Milan are intensifying their efforts to sign Adrien Rabiot who has emerged as a top midfield target for head coach Massimiliano Allegri before the end of Summer transfer window.
It has been a summer of change for Milan, and due to the injury sustained by Ardon Jashari, the Serie A side have been evaluating reinforcement for the midfield, especially since Yunus Musah is one step away from Atalanta.

Softfootball reports that among the many candidates that have been linked to Milan are two players who have already played under Massimiliano Allegri. Vlahovic was reported to be a target as he looks to end his contract standoff with Juventus.
Rabiot, meanwhile, is in a precarious position as Marseille want to sell him following his physical altercation with Jonathan Rowe, though the player reportedly wants to stay at the Ligue 1 side.
Now, Fabrizio Romano is reporting via his X handle that talks are intensifying as the Rossoneri study the feasibility of a deal. Though things are complicated from a financial standpoint. Marseille are demanding €15 million. The post reads:
“Negotiations underway between AC Milan and Adrien Rabiot’s camp.
Talks continue on contract terms as OM want €15m to let him leave.”
There will be further negotiations between Milan and the player today to understand if the move truly is feasible. Marseille’s request of €15m is deemed too high, so that would be the first thing to overcome, while an agreement must also be reached on the salary.
In the meantime, Yunus Musah is waiting for Allegri’s approval to join Atalanta on an initial loan deal. It is going to be a very active final 48 hours in the transfer session for the Rossoneri, who are still seeking a defender, a midfielder and a centre-forward.
In an earlier post, Softfootball reported that Man United have reportedly contacted both Aston Villa and Emiliano Martínez’s camp over a potential late move, having identified the Argentina international as an alternative to Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
