Premier League
This is the root of the rivalry. Arsenal are currently locked in a tight Premier League title race with Manchester City. The first league meeting ended in a 1-1 draw, with the second leg yet to be scheduled. The outcome of that fixture could define the title race.
Carabao Cup
It has already been confirmed that Arsenal will face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final. Arsenal defeated Chelsea 3-2 away and 1-0 at home to qualify for the final, setting up a blockbuster showdown.
FA Cup
Both teams are still active in the FA Cup. If they continue progressing, a meeting in the knockout rounds or even the final is highly possible. Given their quality and depth, a clash at the latter stages would not be surprising.
