Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, has congratulated Gianni Infantino on a remarkable decade of leadership as President of FIFA.

Softfootball gathered, In a special message posted on the official NFF X account, Gusau celebrated 10 years of what he described as visionary stewardship at the helm of world football’s governing body.

My dear president Gianni Infantino, i want to use this opportunity on behalf of the football stake holders in Nigeria to congratulate you on your 10 years anivvassary, in charge of football. This 10 years has brought alot of transformation into football sector globally.

We are therefor proud to be part of you and reassuring you we will continue to be part of you because we know, your ambition, your mission and you are going to do more expecially for Africa, and nigeria, therfore we want to assure you we are going to continue to support you, and continue to be with you so that you continue to bring more transformation into global football, happy 10 years annivasey, happy 10 years annivasary, and we wish you long life and prosperity.

It marks 10 years since Infantino was elected FIFA president with a mandate to reform and restore credibility to the organization. He assumed office during a turbulent period following the resignation of his predecessor, Sepp Blatter, amid widespread corruption allegations.

The decade under Infantino has been characterized by structural reforms, expansion of major tournaments, and renewed global engagement, although it has also faced moments of controversy. Nevertheless, football stakeholders in Nigeria have reaffirmed their support as he begins his second decade in charge.
