England international Marc Guéhi is set for his Manchester City debut against Wolves in the Match-Day 23 of the Premier League today, Softfootball understands.
The 25-year-old joined the Cityzens this January from Crystal Palace after almost six years with the Eagles. He is seeking a new challenge at the Etihad as he helps Manchester City chase down league leaders Arsenal. The Gunners are currently seven points ahead of City at this stage of the competition.

Speaking ahead of the match in an interview shared via Manchester City’s official X handle, manager Pep Guardiola revealed the new signing will be involved against the relegation strugglers. He confirmed:
Yes. Really good to have him. Considering the absence of central defenders it’s really good. It’ll help us because Marc is exceptional. A player for the national team, a captain for the team who won the FA Cup last season. They made an incredible season with Oliver Glasner and this season they struggled for themselves and the injuries as well. But I have the feeling, that fragility is not just about one player. It would be nice but it’s not just about that. I know what the solution is to make us not have the fragility.

Guardiola is a huge fan of Guehi will hope he helps Manchester City erase the feeling of the 2-0 defeat to United during the derby last week. The midweek result in the UEFA Champions League did not inspire confidence as they lost 3-1 to Bodø/Glimt.
