Everything is gradually falling apart at Selhurst Park with club form dwindling, players and manager leaving. Now, French striker, Jean-Philippe Mateta has informed Crystal Palace that he wants to leave the club this January, Softfootball understands.
Club Captain, Marc Guehi left for Manchester City and manager Oliver Glasner has informed the Eagles hierarchy that he is leaving at the end of the season to find a new challenge.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle claims that the player’s representative is already in contact with the club as they try to negotiation a move for their client. He wrote:
Jean-Philippe Mateta and his camp have informed Crystal Palace about desire to leave the club. Following talks with Aston Villa and Juventus, Mateta hopes for January move with decision now in Palace hands. Negotiations remain ongoing.
Crystal Palace have sold some incredible players that played with Jean-Philippe Mateta and formed a unique partnership that made them fearless against top premier league sides.
The Eagles sold Eberechi Eze to Arsenal at the start of the season after he was about to go have his medical for Tottenham Hotspur. The Gunners hijacked the deal and signed the FA Cup winner. The England international scored the only goal in the FA Cup final against Manchester City last season.

Before Eze, Palace sold Michael Olise to Bayern Munich and he has been painting the Bundesliga with goals and creating chances for the incredible Harry Kane as the Bavarians continue to outscore teams domestically and in Europe.
Mateta, obviously misses both Eze and Olise and wants a chance to also play in the UEFA Champions League like his former teammates do currently with Arsenal and Bayern Munich respectively.
