David Moyes prepare Everton for tough Newcastle United test

David Moyes is enjoying a find November run with Everton and they welcome Newcastle United in the final premier league match of the month at the Hill Dickinson, Softfootball reports.

The Toffees defeat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford last week and climbed to 11th with 18 points while the Magpies edge Manchester City 2-1 at Sanit James’ Park, a first win for Eddie Howe over Pep Guardiola in his managerial career.

It sets up the premier league match-day 13 nicely between both sides as they battle it out for the three points at stake. Everton via their official X handle announced the fixture with great excitement as they head into the clash with convince. They posted:

Everton have picked 77 victories against Newcastle United’s 71 while 38 have ended in draws in 186 matches between both sides. The most recent match was six months ago when a Carlos Alcaraz goal gave Everton a 1-0 victory over Newcastle at St James’ Park.

Sandro Tonali, who recently spoke about his future, is the key man for Newcastle United. He controls the midfield and partners perfectly with Brazilian midfielder, Bruno Guimarães. The Italian is a tireless walker in midfield and will play a key role for the Magpies against Everton.

Jack Grealish is the star of the Everton side and played a major role when they defeated Manchester United last weekend. He will again be vital at the Hill Dickinson stadium when Eddie Howe’s men visit.

Idrissa Gana Gueye is out for this match after receiving a straight red card against Manchester United for fighting with his teammate, Michael Keane. During that game at Old Trafford, Seamus Coleman picked up a hamstring injury just nine minutes into the match and has now joined Merlin Rohl (hernia), Jarrad Branthwaite (thigh) and Nathan Patterson (groin) in the treatment room.

David Moyes will weigh up whether to replace Gueye with Tim Iroegbunam or Carlos Alcaraz in midfield while Jake O’Brien is expected to return to the starting lineup at right-back in the absence of Coleman.

Interestingly, Jack Grealish have four Premier League assists than he has against Newcastle United The Man City loanee also has the joint-most assists of any player in the top flight this season (four) and he is expected to retain his starting spot on the left flank.

For Newcastle, Kieran Trippier is still out with a thigh injury. Also, Yoane Wissa (knee) and Will Osula (ankle) are not available. Nick Woltemade will lead the line again while former Everton winger, Anthony Gordon will have to figh for a place on the left with in-form Barnes. Jacob Murphy and Anthony Elanga are also competing for starts on the right.

In midweek, Joelinton was an unused substitute against Marseille in the UEFA Champions League and will hope to return in midfield at the expense of Joe Willock, while Malick Thiaw is set to start alongside Fabian Schar or Sven Botman.
