Harry Kane has put an end to swirling rumours linking him to Barcelona, insisting he’s got no contact with any other club and is fully committed to Bayern Munich.

Speaking to the media, as revealed by sports expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X account, the England captain was clear about his intentions; he claimed not to have been contacted by anyone, including Bayern Munich, but is confident of continuing with the German giants.

Fabrizio Posted:

Harry Kane on Barça links: I haven’t had any contact with anyone. I feel very comfortable, even though we haven’t yet discussed my situation with Bayern.

So no rush… I’m really happy in Munich. It’s very unlikely that anything will change after this season

The 32-year-old striker, whose contract with Bayern runs until 2027, also downplayed any rush over a contract extension, claiming he is really happy in Munich.

He also granted an earlier interview, as reported by Softfootball, where he admitted that winning the big trophies and not goals alone can guarantee him winning the Ballon d’Or, a feat he evidently aims to achieve with Bayern.

Speculation linking Kane to Barcelona has intensified in Spain, with reports suggesting the Catalan club see him as the perfect successor to Robert Lewandowski, whose contract ends in 2025. Yet Bayern officials, including president Herbert Hainer, remain confident about keeping Kane.

Softfootball understands his contentment in Munich, both on and off the pitch, and a strong family life serves as a major factor in his decision to stay in Germany, and with a trip to England to face Arsenal in the Champions League certain, Kane will want to use this opportunity to prove his already well-known credentials against very quality opposition.

Despite having a €65 million release clause that could theoretically trigger a move by January 31, 2026, Kane’s current statements make it clear he has no intention of leaving. His form this season speaks volumes: 24 goals in 18 appearances underline his importance to Bayern’s title ambitions and Champions League hopes.

For now, Kane seems determined to keep his eyes on the prize in Munich, putting rumours and speculation on the backburner. Barcelona can wait; the English striker is living his best life in Germany and fully focused on what matters most: Bayern and the upcoming World Cup.
