Brazil will face Senegal in a friendly match on 15th November 2025 at Emirates Stadium in London. Even though Brazil has already sealed their 2026 World Cup spot, Coach Carlo Ancelotti is refusing to panic.

He is treating this friendly against Senegal as a chance to try new tactics and learn from mistakes before the tournament kicks off. Senegal also gets the opportunity to test their tactics and players.

Brazil’s recent results have been mixed. Softfootball reported that they beat South Korea 5-0 in October 2025 but lost 3-2 to Japan in the same month.

On the other hand, Senegal has won several of their recent qualifiers including the 4-0 victory over Mauritania. Brazil and Senegal met twice in international friendlies in the past, but Brazil didn’t secure any win over Senegal.

They had no wins, one draw and one loss against Senegal. Players Bruno Guimarães from Brazil will bring in their creativity. Vinícius Jr. will bring in strong attacking efforts in Neymar’s absence.

Vinicius JR had acknowledged and hailed Carlo Ancelotti as the biggest influence on his career so he wouldn’t want to disappoint the coach.

Senegal players like Sadio Mané and Ismaïla Sarr could be key in attack, while Kalidou Koulibaly brings strength and experience to the defense.

Team News

For Brazil, Coach Carlo Ancelotti has made several call-ups to blend experience with fresh faces. Notably, player Neymar would not be participating as he is still recovering from a muscular injury.

Also, Matheus Cunha has earned a call up as he has been in good form. Brazil documented their players training in preparation for the match against Senegal on their official X handle.

For Senegal, Coach Pape Thiaw has named a strong squad including key players like Sadio Mané, Ismaïla Sarr and Kalidou Koulibaly. The squad also features some fresh call-ups who could make their debuts. They will be without striker Habib Diallo, who is injured and has been ruled out for this match.

Possible Lineups

Brazil (4-3-3)

Ederson Moraes; Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhaes, Éder Militão, Alex Sandro; Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães, Rodrygo; Vinícius Júnior, Matheus Cunha, Estêvão.

Senegal (4-2-3-1)

Edouard Mendy; Antoine Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Moussa Niakhate, El Hadji Malick Diouf; Pape Matar Sarr, Idrissa Gueye; Ismaïla Sarr, Sadio Mané, Nicolas Jackson; Iliman Ndiaye.

Softfootball’s Prediction

Brazil are clear favourites thanks to their squad quality. Senegal have won most of their recent matches, so they are in excellent form which will stand a real threat for Brazil.

While Brazil’s defence can be shaky, their attack is strong enough to beat Senegal despite their counter-attack danger. So, Brazil could secure a 2-1 victory over Senegal.
