Yesterday was a night Chelsea fans won’t forget too soon, not just for the dramatic and nervy ending in their 4-3 victory over Wolves but also for the Brazilian magic witnessed by fans on the night, as the club’s two young Brazilians lit up Molineux with their flair, energy and goals in the Carabao Cup match against Wolves.
Just a few minutes after kickoff, Andrey Santos shocked the home crowd with a quick left-footed strike that rolled nicely into the bottom corner. The 20-year-old became the 13th Brazilian ever to score for the Blues, as reported by Chelsea via their official X account, and his celebration showed everything: relief, pride and maybe a bit of joy that words can’t explain.
They posted:

Not long after that, Estêvão Willian joined in with a smart finish of his own, already making it three goals for the teenager in Chelsea colours after recently netting in Chelsea’s 5-1 Champions League victory over Ajax. The result had fans buzzing online and singing long after the final whistle blew.
The post, showing both players hugging on the pitch, pulled thousands of likes and comments fast. Many supporters linked it to Chelsea’s long history of Brazilian talent from Ramires down to Thiago Silva.

After the game, manager Enzo Maresca praised the young duo for their calmness and confidence, claiming that these youngsters have brought energy and joy to the team and also a sense of swagger, something reminiscent of Brazilian stars. This is not the first time Enzo Maresca has vocally praised Estevao, especially after he earlier revealed that he considers himself lucky to coach the Brazilian.
The win sends Chelsea into the quarter-finals, and for the first time in quite a while, fans are beginning to believe again.
For the supporters, this victory felt like more than just moving ahead in the Cup; it felt personal. Faith is slowly finding its way back to Stamford Bridge, and with nights like this and Chelsea’s Brazilian stars dazzling, it’s easy to see why.
