Speaking in an interview posted on the official youtube channel of Sky sports new, Iraola praised his winger for his all-round development and form this season so far. He said:

Antoine is someone that has been improving every season. Even before I arrived at the club, he started playing in lower divisions and now he is growing. Now, he has arrived in the premier league and every season that he has been with us, he has played better and added more things to his game. He is scoring goals and adding numbers to his overall game. We are happy and want him to continue with this progression. It is very good to have a player with this type of confidence.

Asked if he was worried that teams would plan better on how to defend against Antoine Semenyo, he replied:

I think with all the wingers, I’m happy they have accepted to play both wings. It happens with Brooks and Ben, it’s good for us to have this kind of versatility and Antoine is right and left footed and a great tool to have as a manager.

Andoni Iraola talked about how demanding it is to play in the premier league, saying that there are no easy games. He said:

The premier league is a big challenge and we feel it with the players we sign. They need time to adapt with the physicality in the league. People say the premier league is the best in the world but I don’t if it is but it’s different and I love the rhythm but it’s very demanding for the players. Promoted teams are so good and there are no easy games because it’s difficult to win any game. For the neutrals its entertaining but for the ones that are inside, it is very demanding and you can’t relax.
