Arsenal have no intention of parting ways with Leandro Trossard despite growing speculation linking the Belgian with a move to Turkish giants Beşiktaş in recent days.

Softfootball understands that Arsenal received a late bid from Besiktas to sign Leandro Trossard three days after the summer transfer window slammed shut in the UK, and the Super Lig side reportedly tabled a £22 million offer in an attempt to lure the Belgian winger from the Emirates, but the Gunners remain firm in their stance to keep him as part of Mikel Arteta’s plans.

The Gunners can no longer sign any players but can sell to clubs in countries where the market is still open, such as Turkey, and that is where this surprise offer arrived from as Besiktas have shown interest in Trossard.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his X handle, Arsenal have no plans to part ways with Leandro Trossard despite recent speculation linking him with a move to Beşiktaş.

The winger signed a new deal with the Gunners in August, and a switch to the Turkish Super Lig is now completely off the table as he remains firmly in Mikel Arteta’s plans. The post reads:

Arsenal are not planning for Leandro Trossard exit despite links with Besiktas move in the recent days. Trossard already agreed new deal at the club in August and move to Turkish Super Lig has no chance of happening now.

The ex-Brighton star got an increased salary but his contract still runs until 2027, just like his previous terms.  Sergen Yalcın’s side still have some time to sign an alternative as the transfer window doesn’t close until September 12 in Turkey.

The 30-year-old received interest from Brentford, Aston Villa and clubs overseas during the summer. He also receive interest from Bayern Munich. Whilst this may be a way to recoup some of the money that Arsenal spent during the summer, letting the Belgian leave now would mean they could not get a replacement until January.

And although there is now Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke who could play in his position, the injuries to Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka, and the continued poor form of Gabriel Martinelli would, once again, leave the Gunners light of options in attacking areas.
