Manchester United are getting set to kick off their 25/26 Premier League campaign against Arsenal on Sunday. The Red Devils are all out to finish better than their 16th place finish last season that sees them not qualify for continental football.
Softfootball had been following United’s transfer business all summer as they eventually landed a striker which had been their top most transfer target all summer. Amorim’s team landed Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko who had been a subject of transfer links to many clubs all summer.

Sesko will team up with other United’s new signings in Matheus Cunha whom they got from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. United spent over a $150m in their bid to bring in new players on board this summer.
The team will face their first test on Sunday when they welcome Arsenal in the fist match of the Premier League season. In anticipation, Amorim faced the press and spoke through United’s official website as he gave an update on the squad to face Arsenal on Sunday.
The Portuguese gaffer confirmed a couple of players remain sidelined for the game. He explained:
Nous and Licha are out. They cannot play in this game. Josh recovered, Andre recovered, they are options for this game, we will see.
On Benjamin Sesko, the gaffer stated:
We didn’t have a lot of time but he’s ready. First of all, physically, he’s ready. That is a big component in our league.
Then, he’s really smart. Every detail he asks, he’s a guy that is always thinking. He spends all afternoon here working on his fitness, so he’s ready to play, we will see if he’s going to start
United are still in the market for a midfielder, defender and goalkeeper according to multiple reports. The club is also yet to settle the players that have been exiled from the club. Garanacho, Antony, Malacia are all players that are to leave Old Trafford this summer.
