Luis Díaz has completed his move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich as he pens a long-term deal until 2029, Softfootball reports.
The Colombian was adamant that he wanted to leave Anfield this summer as he was one of the lowest earners at the club despite the Reds reluctance to let him him.

Confirming the news on his official X account, German football expert Florian Plettenberg shares details of the deal.
He said:
“Now official: Luis #Díaz is the new winger for FC Bayern!
“He has signed a contract until 2029 with an option for a further year.
“Díaz is set to be presented at a press conference on Thursday and to train with the team for the first time.
“His debut is planned for Saturday against Olympique Lyon.
“Our news — now confirmed. ✔️🇨🇴.”
After signing his deal, an excited Luis Díaz, who passed his medicals on Tuesday before signing his contract today expressed his happiness in an interview with Bayern Munich’s media channel.
He said:
“I’m very happy, it means a lot to me to be part of FC Bayern – they’re one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to help my new team with my way of playing football and my character.
“My goal is to win every possible title, and that’s what we’ll work for every day as a team.”
Bayern Munich sporting director, Christoph Freund was delighted with the signing of the Colombian.
He added:
“Luis creates a real goal threat and is a scorer, who at the same time works incredibly hard for his team. He’s quick, a versatile footballer and brings an intense style of play to the game.
“He’s also gained a lot of experience at the top level with Liverpool and the Colombian national team.
“Luis Díaz represents a complete package that will thrill our fans.”
Luis Diaz was one of the most important members of the Liverpool squad last season, making 36 appearances, scoring 13 goals with five assists as the Reds won the Premier League title for the 20-time. A record they now share with Manchester United and would be hoping to go one better in the new season.
The Colombian scored 41 goals in 148 matches for Liverpool in all competitions since joining the club in January 2022.
