Interestingly, Douglas Luiz played only 27 times across all competitions for Juventus last season and started only six matches. He was part of the Juventus squad that travelled to the United States for the Club World Cup, but featured for just 45 minutes.

It was a clear signal that he wasn’t wanted at Juventus. Surprisingly, clubs like Everton and Nottingham Forest while Manchester United might still go for him despite initially rejecting him in a swap deal arrangement.

The Red Devils are hoping to replace Casemiro and he might be a masterclass signing for the Ruben Amorim side if they pull it off.

However, Toffees manager David Moyes also wants another midfielder in the mode of Luiz to compete with Gana Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucouré For Nottingham, Coach Nuno Espirito Santo wants to beef up his midfield and thinks Douglas Luiz is the ideal man for his side.

The Premier League kicks-off on August 16 and it would be interesting to see if Douglas Luiz will sign for Everton, Nottingham Forest or Manchester United.
