Liverpool Football Club have expressed their profound grief and unwavering support following the tragic death of forward Diogo Jota, who passed away in a car accident in Spain alongside his brother, André.
The club confirmed on Thursday that they had been informed of the devastating news concerning the 28-year-old Portuguese international, who had been a key member of the Reds’ squad since joining from Wolves in 2020.
In a brief but heartfelt statement, Liverpool emphasised their commitment to standing by the Jota family during what they described as an “unimaginable loss”.
