Bournemouth have reportedly entered the race to sign Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, joining Fulham in pursuit of the 25-year-old attacker ahead of the 2025–26 campaign.
Nelson returns to the Emirates after a difficult loan spell at Fulham during the 2024–25 season, which was blighted by two hamstring injuries. He managed just 12 appearances for the Cottagers, but that hasn’t deterred suitors, with Bournemouth now showing serious interest.

According to Football Transfers, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has held direct talks with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta about a possible transfer for Nelson. Their strong working relationship, rooted in their Basque background, reportedly made the discussions productive.
The two managers had also previously discussed a deal involving Oleksandr Zinchenko, though Bournemouth ultimately opted for Adrien Truffert to fill that left-back role.
Nelson is under contract with Arsenal until 2027, but the Gunners are reportedly open to letting him go, especially as the club eyes the addition of a new winger this summer. With game time likely to be scarce, a move could offer the player a much-needed fresh start.

Bournemouth are actively scouting wide options due to the uncertain future of Antoine Semenyo. The Ghanaian winger impressed last season with 11 goals and 6 assists in 37 Premier League matches, sparking interest from other clubs. However, Bournemouth’s steep £70 million valuation may price out potential buyers, making Nelson a strategic alternative or reinforcement.
Fulham are also still monitoring Nelson’s situation as they weigh up whether to bring him back following his brief spell at Craven Cottage.
With both clubs in the mix and Arsenal willing to negotiate, Nelson’s future appears to lie away from north London. A move to Bournemouth could offer regular football and a clean slate under a manager who values his potential.
