Manchester United’s preparations for the 2025–26 season are set to begin on July 7, when the first-team squad will return to Carrington for pre-season training. This comes after a brief off-season following their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on May 25 and two post-season friendlies against ASEAN All-Stars and Hong Kong, China.
With Ruben Amorim leading the team into the new campaign, the Red Devils are scheduled to play six pre-season matches, including a high-profile final friendly at Old Trafford and four encounters against fellow Premier League clubs.
Man United’s Pre-Season Fixtures 2025:
- Leeds United – July 19 in Stockholm
- West Ham United – July 26 in New Jersey (Premier League Summer Series)
- Bournemouth – July 30 in Chicago
- Everton – August 3 in Atlanta
- Fiorentina – August 9 at Old Trafford
The summer tour includes a trip to the United States for the Premier League Summer Series, giving fans a chance to see the squad in action before they kick off the new season with a blockbuster opening game against Arsenal at Old Trafford on August 17.

Transfers & New Faces
The Red Devils have already confirmed their first summer signing – Matheus Cunha from Wolves. The Brazilian forward will report for training on July 7. In addition, a £60 million move for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo is reportedly nearing completion. United are pushing to have the deal wrapped up before pre-season begins so the forward can join immediately.
Fans will be eager to see how Amorim integrates new signings into the squad during the summer tour, as United aim to hit the ground running when the Premier League returns in mid-August.
