Arsenal may have been handed a summer transfer boost with two key Real Madrid players reportedly asking to leave. Both Eduardo Camavinga and Rodrygo have expressed their intentions to depart the Santiago Bernabeu, with concerns over limited playing time next season under new manager Xabi Alonso.
The Gunners are in the market for a winger to provide competition for Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Rodrygo, who has a contract until 2028, has been identified as a potential target. However, his price tag could reach €90 million (£77 million), making it a significant investment for Arsenal.
Camavinga’s situation is slightly different. Still recovering from an adductor injury, the French midfielder is uncertain about his role in a crowded Real Madrid midfield. With Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Federico Valverde ahead in the pecking order—and with Arda Guler and incoming talent Franco Mastantuono expected to contribute in central roles—Camavinga’s chances of regular minutes look slim.
Real Madrid are currently focused on their Club World Cup campaign, with a match against Red Bull Salzburg on the horizon. While Rodrygo featured in Alonso’s debut, he was benched in the win over Pachuca, fueling speculation about his long-term future.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are also closing in on Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, suggesting their midfield revamp is well underway. Whether Camavinga becomes part of that reshuffle remains to be seen, but interest persists.
For now, both Madrid stars are reportedly eyeing exits, and Arsenal remain attentive as they consider how to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
