Despite being under contract with Manchester United until 2027, Antony appears ready to part ways with the club as he seeks a permanent home in Spain. After a standout loan stint at Real Betis, where he scored nine goals and assisted five times in 26 appearances, the winger is reportedly prepared to slash his weekly wage by 30 percent to remain in Seville.

Real Betis, who failed to qualify for the Champions League, are facing budget constraints. Antony’s current salary of £150,000 per week is out of their range, and Manchester United’s asking price of £32.5 million only adds to the challenge. However, his willingness to take a pay cut has reignited hope in Betis’ camp.

The Brazilian attacker flourished under Manuel Pellegrini, and while Betis would prefer a loan extension, the goal remains a permanent deal. Internal discussions are expected between Betis and United, but a final decision will depend heavily on all three parties aligning.

Manchester United are unlikely to offer Antony a key role next season, especially under Ruben Amorim’s system that prioritizes dual playmakers over traditional wingers. This tactical shift leaves Antony without a natural place in the lineup, prompting his desire to move on.

While Real Betis are Antony’s preferred destination, Atletico Madrid have also been monitoring his status closely. For the 25-year-old, who rediscovered his form in Spain, a return to Manchester looks increasingly unlikely as he prioritizes consistent playing time and career revival.
