Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is set to host another high-profile charity match as the Troost-Ekong Foundation returns with its second edition this Sunday, June 22, at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Bringing together a star-studded cast of celebrities, athletes, and entertainers, the event – themed #PlayForPurpose – aims to support underprivileged children across Nigeria by leveraging the unifying power of football.
Top names set to grace the pitch include boxing world champion Anthony Joshua, former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo, AFCON legend Obafemi Martins, and iconic goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will also take part, alongside musical sensations Falz, Odumodublvck, and Flavour, adding flair and star appeal to the occasion. The match follows the success of last year’s inaugural event in Uyo, which featured a lively blend of comedians, musicians, ex-footballers, and Super Eagles stars in an entertaining showcase.
Ahead of the main event, the foundation hosted a vibrant jersey unveiling ceremony at the Puma store in Palms Mall, Lekki, which was attended by fans, media, and stakeholders. One of the special guests at the unveiling was Bobo Ajudua, a key legal figure in sports and entertainment law, whose presence further cemented the foundation’s growing status and commitment to community impact.

As excitement builds, the #PlayForPurpose campaign continues to draw attention nationwide, reinforcing the role of sports in driving social change and youth empowerment. The Troost-Ekong Foundation remains dedicated to fostering inclusion, development, and opportunity for children through football, education, and advocacy.
