Chelsea set for Palace opener as 2025-26 season kicks off

The Blues begin their Premier League 2025–26 journey with a London clash, hosting Crystal Palace on August 17. The campaign starts just 83 days after the previous season’s end, and Chelsea are hoping to build on their fourth-place finish that secured a Champions League return.

October sees Stamford Bridge welcome defending champions Liverpool, while intense derby duels await in November, as Chelsea travel to Tottenham on the 1st before facing Arsenal at home on the 29th.

Despite their title ambitions collapsing mid-season last term, Chelsea salvaged some pride and silverware. They lifted the Europa Conference League trophy in June and now have their sights set on the Club World Cup, aiming to add more accolades before domestic football resumes.

Transfer business has been lively. Chelsea beat Manchester United to sign young striker Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for £30 million, adding to their attacking arsenal. Supporters are also eager to see Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian in action for the first time.

The full fixture list offers a challenging start and a demanding run-in. The first few weeks include away trips to West Ham and Brentford, followed by home ties against Fulham and Brighton. A tough January opens with a visit to Manchester City and ends with a London double – Fulham and West Ham.

In the spring, the Blues will face both Manchester giants at home across April before closing the season with Liverpool away, Tottenham at home, and Sunderland away. The reverse fixtures of many early-season London derbies take place in the new year, maintaining a fierce schedule throughout.

As the new season approaches, Chelsea fans will be watching closely to see if the squad’s blend of youth, summer signings, and returning experience can finally deliver a sustained title challenge under the club’s current project.
