Matheus Cunha has responded to criticism from Wolves fans after posting — and swiftly deleting — a cryptic Instagram story that read: “Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours. So stay cool.”
The post, which featured a black-and-white photo of Cunha in a Wolves tracksuit, prompted speculation about the forward’s future and intent. When Talking Wolves, a prominent fan channel, shared a screenshot of the story, Cunha took issue.
In a heated reply, the Brazilian international said:
“Do you know what you want? For people to not like me here. Unfortunately, I’m going to the field to solve the problem of your favourite club.”
He continued:
“I’m not here looking for alternatives to be someone important. Fans root for their own, they don’t create misfortunes all the time.”
Talking Wolves stood by their post, responding:
“Completely false. You would have seen us praising you and supporting you from day one. We’re reporting the news and what’s happening. Stop blaming your personal mistakes on us.”
