Barcelona produced an impressive attacking display to defeat Real Betis 5-2, with Lamine Yamal leading the charge in a match that featured seven goals, a straight red card and several decisive moments after half-time.
The Catalan side dominated possession, controlling 69% of the ball and registering 10 shots on target compared with Betis’ five. Yamal delivered an outstanding performance, scoring the opening goal, providing an assist and influencing the match before his substitution.
Real Betis responded through Valentín Gómez, who had earlier helped his side get back into the contest, while Abde Ezzalzouli struck in the 53rd minute after Giovani Lo Celso created the opportunity. However, Facundo Bernal’s dismissal following violent conduct left Betis with a difficult task against Barcelona’s attacking quality.
Gabriel Jesus restored Barcelona’s momentum in the 51st minute, finishing from close range after a move involving Yamal and Fermín López. Eric García added another in the 62nd minute following Pau Cubarsí’s assist, before Dani Olmo struck from outside the box in the 81st minute to complete the scoring.
The victory further highlights Barcelona’s attacking strength, following their commanding performance against Galatasaray, when they scored four goals to secure another dominant result. Their ability to create chances from different areas continues to make them dangerous opponents.
Despite Betis’ counterattacking threat, Barcelona’s control and clinical finishing proved decisive, while their opponents struggled to recover after going down to ten men.
