Luka Modrić has admitted that he still misses Real Madrid, but the Croatian midfielder insists he is happy with life at AC Milan after making the move away from the Spanish giants.
Speaking to COPE, Modrić reflected on his strong emotional connection with Real Madrid while making it clear that his current chapter in Italy has also brought him plenty of happiness.
I miss Real Madrid, it’s a club I love but I feel good in Milan. Also here I feel very happy,
Modrić said.
They’ve welcomed me very well and I’m trying to give my all.
The legendary midfielder spent more than a decade at Real Madrid, winning virtually every major honour available, before beginning a new adventure with Milan.

Despite his deep affection for Madrid, Modrić has quickly embraced his new surroundings and continues to demonstrate why he remains one of football’s most respected midfielders.
Modrić has also continued to make history with Croatia, finding the net again at the age of 41. His latest goal underlines his remarkable longevity and his enduring importance to the national team.
The midfielder has remained a key figure for Croatia despite being in the twilight of his career, continuing to lead by example whenever he puts on the famous red-and-white shirt.
His ability to compete at the highest level at 41 is a testament to his professionalism, fitness and desire to keep contributing.
For Modrić, the love for Real Madrid remains strong, but his focus is now on enjoying his time in Milan and continuing to create more memorable moments with Croatia.
