The Super Eagles camp in Uyo is gathering momentum as more players travel to Nigeria ahead of the AFCON 2027 qualifying clash against Madagascar.
On Monday, September 21, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi all began their journey to Uyo, where they will link up with their teammates for Friday’s match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Softfootball also understands that Stanley Nwabali is travelling from South Africa and is expected to join the squad shortly.
Chelle Already in Uyo
Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle and his technical staff were among the earliest arrivals, touching down in Uyo on Monday morning. Preparations have already begun, with tactical sessions set to intensify as more players report to camp.
Bright Osayi‑Samuel and Arthur Okonkwo are also en route and will join the growing group of players assembling in Akwa Ibom.
