Kylian Mbappé has played down Barcelona’s strong start to the new season, acknowledging their results while insisting that there is still a long way to go.
Barcelona have made an impressive opening to the campaign, but Mbappé believes it is too early to draw conclusions based on the first few matches. Speaking to Marca, the Real Madrid forward said, “Good for them. They’ve won games, but it’s just the beginning of the season.”
Mbappé also made it clear that he prefers to focus on his own team rather than comment extensively on Barcelona or their performances.

he added.
Softfootball understands that Mbappé’s comments come as Real Madrid prepare to continue their own campaign while Barcelona remain among their main rivals in Spain. The Frenchman has previously spoken about the importance of competing for major honours at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Mbappé has also revealed his desire to see the Ballon d’Or return to Real Madrid. The forward said the prestigious individual award needs to come back to the Bernabéu and described it as something the Madridistas deserve to celebrate.
For now, Mbappé appears focused on the season ahead, with the Real Madrid star refusing to read too much into Barcelona’s early results. With the campaign still in its opening stages, the rivalry between the two Spanish giants is expected to develop further as more matches are played.
