Barcelona 5-0 Valencia As Yamal And Fermin López Shine

Barcelona continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 La Liga campaign with a commanding 5-0 victory over Valencia on matchday three, extending their perfect run and moving three points clear at the summit following Real Madrid’s defeat to Real Betis, Softfootball reports.

The Catalan giants wasted little time asserting their dominance, breaking the deadlock after just six minutes. Fermín López produced an excellent chipped pass behind the Valencia defence for Lamine Yamal, who finished brilliantly with the outside of his boot, lifting the ball beyond Stole Dimitrievski and into the far corner.

Fermín then doubled Barcelona’s advantage in the 24th minute, firing a powerful effort from the edge of the box that left Dimitrievski with little chance.

Barcelona continued to dominate after the break and added a third in the 50th minute. Yamal sparked a rapid counter-attack before finding Fermín, who calmly squared the ball across goal for captain Raphinha to tap home.

Pedri made it four in the 79th minute after combining superbly with substitute Dani Olmo, before Yamal completed the rout five minutes later with his second goal of the afternoon.

Valencia struggled to cope with Barcelona’s attacking movement and relentless possession throughout the contest, leaving them at the bottom of the table still searching for their first victory of the new season.
