Al Hilal are getting closer to completing a deal for Gabriel Martinelli after reaching the final stages of club-to-club negotiations with Arsenal.
The region of £50-55 million has been discussed, with Arsenal prepared to accept the proposal and sanction Martinelli’s departure. Talks over personal terms are still ongoing, with the Brazilian winger expected to make his final decision soon.
Softfootball reported earlier this morning that Al Hilal had made official contact with Arsenal over Martinelli as the Saudi Pro League club stepped up their pursuit of another major attacking addition.
Martinelli has already opened the door to a move to Saudi Arabia, putting Al Hilal in a strong position as negotiations progress.
The Brazilian winger had been ahead of Pedro Neto and Francisco Conceição on Al Hilal’s shortlist, and the Saudi club are now working to turn their interest into a completed transfer.
With the clubs close on the financial terms, the remaining focus is on Martinelli’s decision and finalising his personal agreement with Al Hilal.
