Softfootball can confirm that Diego Moreira has officially completed his transfer from RC Strasbourg to AC Milan in a deal worth €50 million fixed fee plus €16 million in potential add-ons.
The 22-year-old Belgian winger has signed a contract with Milan until June 2031 and will wear the No. 22 shirt as he begins a new chapter in Serie A.
Moreira arrives after an impressive spell at Strasbourg, where his pace, dribbling ability and creativity made him one of the club’s most influential attacking players. He registered seven goals and 16 assists across 76 appearances for the French side.
The transfer represents a record sale for Strasbourg and provides a significant financial return on the young attacker. Chelsea are also set to benefit from the deal through a sell-on clause connected to Moreira’s previous transfer.
RB Leipzig had initially been pushing to sign the Belgian and had reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the player over a move, but Milan ultimately won the race for his signature.
Moreira’s arrival further strengthens Amorim’s attacking options as Milan prepare for the new campaign and look to compete for major honours. With his long-term contract completed and the No. 22 shirt assigned, Moreira is now officially a Milan player after turning down interest from elsewhere to make the move to Italy.
