Arsenal teenager Ethan Nwaneri is just four matches away from potentially breaking a historic Premier League record.

The 17-year-old has excelled in the absence of Bukayo Saka, recently providing a key assist in the victory over Leicester City. Softfootball reports that he currently sits on seven goals across all competitions this season.

Nwaneri aims to surpass the record held by Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney for the most goals scored by a player under the age of 18 for a single club.

Both legends scored nine goals before turning 18, meaning Nwaneri needs two more goals to equal them and three to set a new benchmark before his birthday on March 21.

With fixtures against West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, and Chelsea remaining, the young winger has ample opportunity to make history. His recent form suggests he is well-positioned to challenge this long-standing milestone in English football.
