Arsenal’s title hopes took a huge hit after losing 1-0 to West Ham at home. Jarrod Bowen’s header decided the match, leaving the Gunners unable to close the gap on Liverpool in the tight Premier League race this weekend.

Softfootball notes that Myles Lewis-Skelly saw red late on, compounding Arsenal’s misery. The defeat means Liverpool can now go eleven points clear if they beat Manchester City, putting immense pressure on Arteta.

Fulham also suffered as they lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace. Nigerian stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey featured for the Cottagers, but an own goal and Daniel Munoz strike secured victory for Palace at Craven Cottage.

Southampton remain rooted to the bottom after a heavy 4-0 hammering by Brighton. Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo played for the Saints, who have only nine points from 26 games and face a near-impossible battle to avoid relegation.

Tottenham thrashed Ipswich Town 4-1 while Wolves edged Bournemouth 1-0 in other key fixtures. Manchester United rescued a 2-2 draw against Everton, highlighting a mixed weekend of results across the English top flight.
