Hoffenheim head coach Christian Ilzer has expressed confidence in Gift Orban’s ability to make a major impact at the Bundesliga club, insisting the Nigerian striker has enormous potential to succeed.
Softfootball understands the Austrian tactician is pleased with the progress Orban has made since arriving from French side Lyon during the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has settled quickly into his new environment, already scoring twice in his first four appearances for Hoffenheim. His early contributions have given supporters reasons to be optimistic as the club looks to improve its position during the second half of the season.
Ilzer admitted the striker is still adapting to the demands of German football, but believes the signs so far have been extremely encouraging.
According to the coach, Hoffenheim are carefully managing Orban’s development to help him integrate fully into the squad while allowing his confidence to grow with every match.
