Arsenal are prepared to make Vinícius Júnior the highest-paid player in the club’s history as they step up plans for a potential blockbuster move.

The Gunners are reportedly willing to offer the Real Madrid star a salary of more than €470,000 per week, underlining their determination to convince the Brazil international to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Softfootball reported earlier this week that Arsenal had begun exploring the possibility of signing Vinícius, with the proposal receiving internal approval despite remaining in its early stages.

No club-to-club negotiations have taken place so far, but Arsenal are closely monitoring the winger’s contract situation at Real Madrid, where talks over a new deal have yet to produce a breakthrough.

Money is not expected to be an obstacle for Arsenal, who are prepared to break their wage structure in an effort to land one of the world’s elite attackers.

However, any transfer will ultimately depend on Real Madrid’s stance, as Los Blancos remain determined to keep Vinícius and avoid any scenario that could see the Brazilian leave the club.
