Ismael Bennacer has officially ended his time at AC Milan after terminating his contract, clearing the way for a move to Qatar Stars League side Al Gharafa. The Algeria international has already traveled to Qatar to undergo his medical examinations before completing the formalities of his transfer.
The move follows earlier reports from Softfootball revealing that Bennacer had taken a significant step toward leaving Milan by appointing Lian Sports Group as his new representatives to facilitate a summer exit.
The 28-year-old midfielder leaves San Siro after an eventful spell in which he played a pivotal role in AC Milan’s 2021-22 Serie A title-winning campaign.

Al Gharafa have moved quickly to secure the experienced midfielder, viewing his arrival as a major boost to their ambitions in the Qatar Stars League. The transfer also marks the end of Bennacer’s lengthy spell in top-level European football as he embarks on a new chapter in the Middle East.
Once the medical is successfully completed, Bennacer is expected to sign his contract and be unveiled as Al Gharafa’s latest high-profile addition, bringing valuable experience and leadership to the Qatari club’s midfield.
