Former Nigeria international Yakubu Aiyegbeni believes Arsenal must strengthen their attack with a new striker if they are to win the Premier League title this season.
The former Super Eagles forward made the call after Arsenal moved closer to league leaders Liverpool, reports Softfootball, following their 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Aiyegbeni believes the Gunners have a chance to challenge for the title, particularly with Liverpool dropping points and Manchester City struggling for consistency.

Speaking about Arsenal’s chances, the former striker stressed that adding a quality forward could make the difference in the title race. Aiyegbeni said:
Once they do, I believe they can push Liverpool all the way to the end,
Arsenal are aiming to win their first Premier League title in 21 years and currently sit four points behind Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
Mikel Arteta’s side have also been hit by injuries to key attackers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, increasing the need for attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window.
Arteta has already confirmed that the club is actively searching for a forward.
