Atalanta are preparing to offer Éderson a new five-year contract next week as the Serie A club reaffirm their belief that the Brazilian midfielder is fully fit following the collapse of his proposed move to Manchester United.

Softfootball understands Atalanta are ready to welcome Éderson back for pre-season and remain convinced he will play a key role in the club’s plans for the upcoming campaign.

The decision now rests with the player. Éderson can either commit his future by signing a new long-term deal or remain available on the transfer market with just 10 months left on his current contract.

Manchester United had identified the Brazilian as one of their priority midfield targets this summer, but negotiations have now officially ended after the Premier League club withdrew from the deal and shifted focus to alternative options.

With uncertainty over his long-term future still unresolved, the coming weeks are expected to be crucial as Éderson decides whether to extend his stay in Bergamo or keep the door open for a future move.
