Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on former teammate Alex Iwobi, reflecting on the impressive progress the Nigerian has made since leaving the Emirates back in 2019.
Iwobi enjoyed a productive spell at Everton before making the switch to Fulham last summer, and has continued to grow under Marco Silva’s guidance at Craven Cottage.

Softfootball reports that Arteta didn’t hold back when discussing the midfielder’s qualities. He said:
I always liked him a lot. I thought that he had tremendous talent and a very special quality.
Arteta went on to highlight the versatility that has helped Iwobi thrive in different roles across his career. He added:
He has the capacity to play in different spaces and positions. I’m really happy to see him performing at this level.
The 28-year-old has scored five goals in 15 league appearances for Fulham this season, continuing to build a strong case as one of the Premier League’s most improved players.
