West Ham United have confirmed that striker Michail Antonio has successfully undergone surgery following the car accident he was involved in on Saturday.
The England international was rushed to hospital after his vehicle was involved in a single-car crash, sparking widespread concern across the football community.
Softfootball understands the club confirmed in a statement on Sunday that Antonio underwent surgery specifically for a lower limb fracture.

West Ham United can confirm Michail Antonio has undergone surgery on a lower limb fracture following a road traffic accident on Saturday afternoon.
Michail will continue to be monitored in hospital over the coming days.
West Ham also used the statement to thank everyone who played a role in supporting Antonio during the incident. They added:
