Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have been linked with a move for Nigeria defender Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Softfootball understands that Galatasaray are monitoring Osayi-Samuel’s contract situation at Fenerbahce, with the defender yet to agree fresh terms with the Yellow Canaries.

Osayi-Samuel is currently on the books of Galatasaray’s Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce, where he has developed into an important player.
The 26-year-old’s current contract with Jose Mourinho’s side is set to expire next summer, and talks over a new deal are still ongoing.
The full-back is reportedly demanding a pay rise before signing a new four-year contract, while Fenerbahce have yet to meet his expectations.
According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Galatasaray are now interested in signing the Nigeria international as a free agent in June 2025 if he fails to extend his stay at Fenerbahce.
A move across Istanbul would be a major talking point, especially because of the rivalry between both clubs.
For now, Osayi-Samuel remains focused on international duty with Nigeria. He is currently in the Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Libya.
His future at club level, however, could become one of the interesting stories to watch if Fenerbahce and the defender fail to reach an agreement.
