Softfootball can confirm that Monza have completed an agreement to appoint Ivan Jurić as their new head coach, with the Croatian manager accepting all terms and set to begin a fresh chapter in Serie A.

The 50-year-old arrives at Monza following a difficult spell with Atalanta, where he was dismissed after a disappointing run of results. His tenure came to an end after a heavy 3-0 home defeat to Sassuolo, which capped a winless streak and prompted the club to make a managerial change.

Despite the setback, Jurić remains highly regarded in Italian football for his tactical expertise and structured approach. Throughout his coaching career, he has become known for deploying systems such as the 3-4-2-1 formation, emphasizing defensive organization, pressing, and quick transitions.

Monza’s decision to bring in Jurić signals the club’s desire to establish a clearer identity and improve their competitiveness in Serie A. The appointment is also part of a broader restructuring behind the scenes.

Current Monza midfielder Pedro Obiang is set to assume the role of sporting director while still connected to the club, marking a rare transition from player to executive responsibilities.

With Jurić now in charge and a new sporting structure taking shape, Monza will hope the changes provide the foundation for a more stable and successful future in Italy’s top flight.
