Tottenham Hotspur have announced via their official X handle that academy defender Maeson King has signed a new contract with the club, marking another important step in his development journey, Softfootball reports.
Their statement:
We’re delighted to announce that Maeson King has signed a new contract with the club ✍️
Congratulations, Maeson! 👏
The announcement comes during a busy period for Spurs, who recently completed the free-agent signings of Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson from Liverpool as the club continues strengthening its squad ahead of the new season.

The left-sided defender joined Spurs at the age of 10 and progressed through the club’s youth ranks before signing his first professional contract during the 2023/24 season. King played a significant role in helping Tottenham’s Under-21 side lift the Premier League 2 title and established himself as a regular performer at youth level.
Despite suffering a long-term injury setback, the youngster showed resilience by returning to make eight Premier League 2 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign. Earlier in his development, he was also part of the Tottenham youth side that secured the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double in 2022/23.

King’s new deal highlights Tottenham’s continued commitment to developing homegrown talent while building for the future under their long-term project.
