Liam Rosenior has confirmed that Enzo Fernández is set to return to the Chelsea FC squad after resolving internal issues, as reported by Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle.

Softfootball earlier reported that Fernández had been dropped for two matches after controversial comments about his future, including remarks about life in Madrid that fueled links with Real Madrid. Rosenior previously stated that a “line was crossed,” prompting disciplinary action.

The Argentine midfielder missed Chelsea’s 3–0 defeat to Manchester City on April 12 in the Premier League due to the suspension.

Fabrizio Romano posted:

Liam Rosenior confirms Enzo Fernández is back: Yes, Enzo has spoken with me, the leadership group and all of the players and we look forward to welcoming him back. He wanted to have a conversation with the leadership group – the main players of the group – and speak to the players

Following further discussions, including confirmation from his agent Javier Pastore that all issues have been resolved, Fernández is now expected to refocus on performances as Chelsea aim to stabilize their season.
