Former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale confirms new offer in bid to take over Cardiff City

Gareth Bale has disclosed that a new offer has been submitted by his consortium in a bid to take over Cardiff City. The former Real Madrid star described the bid as “very fair” and expressed optimism that the current ownership will agree to a deal.

Softfootball has gathered that this latest proposal represents a renewed and strategic push from Bale’s camp to secure control of the club, with sources close to the situation indicating that discussions are progressing behind the scenes.

The Bluebirds were relegated to League One at the end of last season, and owner Vincent Tan is under increasing pressure to sell the club.

Bale is fronting a takeover attempt aimed at reviving Cardiff’s fortunes, with a project that could mirror the success of Wrexham under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

During an interview with FOS Today shared on X, Gareth Bale revealed that his group has submitted a new offer to buy Cardiff City FC.

Gareth Bale also spoke to ESPN in a series of interviews in the U.S, adding that a new offer has been sent.

“We are interested in trying to take over Cardiff. We have actually put in a great new offer that we hope we can get feedback (from). We think it’s a very good offer for where the club is at.”

“It’s kind of out of our hands now and we are looking forward to seeing what develops with that. Things are exciting and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.”

Cardiff’s drop into the third tier has intensified calls for change. Other interested parties have reportedly been in contact with the club about a possible buyout, but Bale’s group are confident they can deliver a long-term project.

The current statement from Bale is a follow-up to an earlier report published by Softfootball about the former Welsh player’s keen interest in acquiring Plymouth Argyle. Plymouth’s previous season was turbulent, marred early by a poor run under Wayne Rooney.

Although results picked up after Rooney’s dismissal on New Year’s Eve, the turnaround wasn’t enough to secure their Championship status. With the attention shifted from Plymouth, the consortium believes that they have the right backing and direction for Cardiff to return to prominence and reconnect with the city.
