Fans of Chelsea football club fear every game they play these days, one of their players is going to pick a red card, Softfootball report.

You won’t blame them because in three consecutive matches it has happened. At Old Trafford, they had Robert Sanchez sent off within four minutes and Chelsea lost 2-1 to Manchester United. Also, at Stamford Bridge in a game they were leading,

Trevor Chalobah got himself sent off and Brighton came from behind to win 3-1. It didn’t end there as Joao Pedro became the latest player to be sent-off against Benfica in the Champions League. Luckily for the Blues it was in the 90th minute, so they ran out with a 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho’s men.

After the win against Benfica, it is important for Chelsea to get their act right, especially when their next premier league match is against the defending champion, Liverpool. The Reds lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace last weekend and would be desperate to bounce back.

Chelsea’s official X handle is already looking at the games in October and it is a crucial month for the Blues.

Discipline and Smartness

Chelsea players need to be smartest in dealing with opponents because most of the red cards they picked could’ve been avoided but they lacked the smart maneuvers. They don’t need to rush into tackles or slide in dangerous areas without a perfect timing.

It takes a lot of discipline to stand and wait for the attackers to make mistakes before you pounce as a defender but they need that concentration. They also need leaders in the team to help they keep focus during games because Chelsea have one of the youngest sides in the premier league.

Interestingly, Enzo Masreca is confident that there is no cause for alarm but he should know that his players maybe FIFA Club World Cup winners but they are relatively a very young group that can easily lose their heads in tough situations and need proper guidance.

Chelsea fans must be living on borrowed time, right? One red card per game for three matches straight – its like a horror movie but with football! Youd think theyd learn to play it safer, but nope, the red cards keep on coming, even with the score looking good. Poor Pedro getting sent off in the 90th minute shows you cant relax, even when youre winning!

Chelsea better get their act together, especially with Liverpool looming. And dont even get me started on the need for smart maneuvers – sounds like they need a masterclass in how not to get sent off 101! Maybe FIFA Club World Cup winners need a refresher course in discipline before the big games.

Bring on October, but Blues fans better hold their breath!
