Netherland ready for tough test against Finland

Netherland welcome Finland to Amsterdam for a vital Group G clash, Softfootball reports.

The Dutch side beat Malta 4-0 last time out and would hope they can replicate that against a very difficult side while Finland will hope for a win like they got against Lithuania on Thursday.

The Orange Boys appear to be relaxed ahead of the game and took time out via their official X handle to celebrate Liverpool defender Vijk van Dirk for reaching 10years in the national team.

Netherlands’ all-time top scorer Memphis Depay is expected to start ahead of Wout Weghorst
while Liverpool pair Jeremie Frimpong and Gakpo are also in the running.

Matthijs de Ligt, Teun Koopmeiners, Sem Steijn and Noa Lang all missed out from the starting lineup in the last game while AZ Alkmaar striker Mexx Meerdink was called up as cover for Weghorst and Depay, but then had to withdraw. Donyell Malen May start from the bench.

For Finland, Robert Ivanov is suspended while Captain Lukas Hradecky and veteran midfielder Rasmus Schuller due to injury.

Finland are ready for the match and showed via their official X handle.

Either Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo or Palermo’s Jesse Joronen will deputise for Hradecky between the posts. Joel Pohjanpalo is expected to start in this match
