Inter Milan have been tipped by club legend Wesley Sneijder to triumph over Paris Saint-Germain in tonight’s Champions League final in Munich. After an incredible campaign that saw PSG eliminate Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal, Sneijder believes Inter are the only team built to stop the French giants.

While PSG have dazzled with a frontline led by Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Sneijder says their success was aided by English sides playing too openly. In contrast, he believes Inter’s defensive discipline and lethal counter-attacks give them the edge.

Sneijder, a key figure in Inter’s 2010 treble-winning side, emphasized how the Italian club’s strategy of absorbing pressure and striking on the break can stifle PSG. Inter’s strength in transition, particularly down the right with Denzel Dumfries, could exploit PSG’s vulnerabilities.

Inter arrive in their second final in three years after a thrilling 7–6 aggregate win over Barcelona in the semis. Despite missing out on the Serie A title, Sneijder believes the Champions League has been their main focus. With Napoli clinching the league on the final day, Inter have had eyes on Europe’s top prize.

The Dutchman considers his former club the favourites, pointing out that Inter have timed their run perfectly and have saved their best football for this final. While PSG enter with momentum, Sneijder feels they’ll face a completely different challenge than any of the Premier League teams they previously defeated.

With Munich set to host the showdown, all eyes are on whether Inter’s structure or PSG’s flair will decide who lifts the Champions League trophy.
