Dutch International, Xavi Simons has expressed excited over his career so far at Tottenham Hotspur, Softfootball reports.
The former RB Leipzip star scored the third goal as Tottenham Hotspur beat Slavia Prague 3-0 in the Match-Day six of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Speaking after the match in an interview shared on the official X handle of the club, the player expressed his happiness with the result and what it meant to him personally. He said:
Really happy to win another game at home with the fans. This is the way we have to continue, really happy. It’s always a pleasure for me playing Champions League, I’m enjoying my dreams. Really happy to be here. It’s a team that play man-to-man and you have to look for space and create chances. First half we had those chances but didn’t score, luckily, we had two goals in the second half. I wanted to take the first one but (Mo Kudus) came over, I really wanted to shoot the second one so happy he (Cristian Romero) gave it to me.
It was the home team that took the lead when Pedro Porro’s dangerous corner was flicked on by Cristian Romero and Slavia Prague’s defender David Zima diverted it into his own net.
During Softfootball’s preview for the match, Mohammed Kudus was highlight as the key player for Spurs and he didn’t disappoint as he stepped up to score the second goal via the penalty spot.
