Arsenal return to Premier League action this afternoon as they face Ipswich Town at Portman Road. Following their dramatic midweek victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, Mikel Arteta’s side now turn their attention to their league campaign.

Despite Ipswich’s recent victory at Bournemouth and a draw at Chelsea, they are still firmly in the relegation zone and face an uphill battle to survive. Meanwhile, Arteta remains focused on both the Premier League and the upcoming Champions League semi-finals, where Arsenal will meet Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the final.

However, with the title race all but out of their hands, Arsenal’s primary goal has shifted to maintaining momentum in the Premier League, especially with just a four-point gap between them and third-place Newcastle United. The Gunners still have a tough schedule ahead, with Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Aston Villa close behind.

Arsenal will be without key players for the rest of the season. Gabriel Magalhaes, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all sidelined for the campaign. In addition, Riccardo Calafiori and Jorginho are still recovering from injuries and won’t feature today.

Arteta is also managing the fitness of Bukayo Saka after his three-month absence, though it’s likely he’ll be rested for the upcoming clash against Crystal Palace next week. The club continues to monitor his recovery closely, focusing on his hamstring muscle strength, biomechanics, and overall endurance.

Looking ahead to their busy schedule, Thomas Partey will miss the first leg against PSG through suspension, so he is expected to play a key role in today’s match and against Crystal Palace.

Predicted Arsenal XI to face Ipswich:
Raya, White, Saliba, Kiwior, Tierney, Zinchenko, Partey, Rice, Nwaneri, Trossard, Martinelli
