Gravenberch described the decision as an “easy one”, highlighting the trust and confidence shown in him by both the manager and the club since his arrival from FC Bayern Munich in 2023.

Since joining the Reds, the 23-year-old has made 123 appearances, playing an important role as a deep-lying playmaker and helping Liverpool win the Premier League and the EFL Cup.

His rise has been so impressive that Liverpool reportedly rejected a €120 million offer from Real Madrid CF in January 2026 to keep him at the club.

Gravenberch has also been vocal about the team’s ambitions in Europe, recently stressing that Liverpool must be “spot on” when facing elite players like Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior.

Softfootball also reported that the midfielder has shown strong leadership within the squad, urging teammates to maintain focus and keep pushing for Champions League qualification despite recent setbacks in the league.
