Following a first season in west London that was interrupted by injury, Thiago has netted 17 goals in 26 Premier League games this term, also scoring in the Bees’ Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth in August.

Thiago has rapidly become a central figure in Brentford’s attack. Late last year, he etched his name into club history by becoming the first Brentford player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award. The Brazilian striker was in sensational form in November, scoring five goals in four matches and carrying much of the team’s attacking burden during that stretch. The Premier League later confirmed him as the official winner of the monthly accolade.

His new long-term commitment signals Brentford’s ambition to build around their top scorer as they continue to establish themselves in the top flight.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the title race, Arsenal F.C. dropped points in a dramatic 1–1 draw against Brentford, adding fresh pressure in the Premier League race.
